I know…it has been a while since my last blog. Things have really picked up here at the restaurant now that the summer is over. Plus – we have had wine dinners two weeks in a row! Last week we did a Gluten Free wine dinner which went really well. All of the guests thought the food was killer and loved that we are able to make so many different types of food gluten free. What people were really digging is that we can do our gluten free pizza frozen for them so that they can take it home and cook it themselves. Ahh, the things we take for granted.

Then, on Monday night, we went over to Mon Ami Gabi for Lettuce Wine and Dine you where we partnered with 3 other Lettuce Entertain You restaurants for a progressive wine dinner. Big Bowl did the appetizers – a great spring role and cold noodle dish, we did the salads – Wildfire Chopped Salad of course with some of our cornbread, Mon Ami Gabi did the main course – choice of steak or halibut and then Community Canteen did the dessert – it was a coffee soufflé. It was a really stellar wine dinner and fun to get in the kitchen with the other chefs. Here are some photos from the evening of all of us in the back.

Alright, back to work on new ideas for our 2012 wine dinner calendar. Let me know if you have any good ones – I’m always open to something new.
